Eligibility
Students of all ages may enroll in the UNL Independent Study High School diploma program if they supply the following information to one of our advisers:
1.) An official transcript of all previously completed high school coursework beginning with grade nine.
2.) The name, title, address, e-mail address and telephone number of a qualified proctor.
Parents/legal guardians must ensure that their child(ren) comply with their state's compulsory attendance laws.
Students 18 and older may enroll in the diploma program if they provide the following information to one of our advisers:
1.) Official transcripts of previous high school courses and/or scores from the General Educational Development Test (GED).
2.) The name, title, address, e-mail address and telephone number of a qualified proctor.
Students living outside the United States may enroll in the UNL Independent Study High School diploma program if they supply the following information to one of our advisers:
1.) A translated copy of official transcripts from all previously completed high school coursework beginning with grade nine.
2.) The name, title, address, e-mail address and telephone number of a qualified proctor.
3.) Students wishing to transfer credits into the UNL Independent Study High School must take the Iowa Test of Educational Development (ITED) to validate existing credits.
